A ritual in visualisation, lingering images and sounds. This audio was originally made of an early exploration in drone music and audio art.
The installation featured a polished black structure in a luminous plain white room, accompanied by blindfold and wireless headphones.

At the time, I was exploring the optical effects of light and contrast in minimal black and white painting and sculpture to create optical illusions.

The 3rd Structure was an attempt at creating work that made use of physiological afterimage, by combining monolithic object and music. I was using the dark monolithic object to leave an afterimage trailing in the viewers eye, in both a purplish-black on the white walls and it's persistent white inversion under closed eyelids. Exploring the effects of the optical illusion was suggested to the viewer by optional written instruction paired with blindfolded headphones. The willing participant would then go from a silent white room facing the object to pitch black eyelid inner space, flooded by a threatening drone as they faced the ghostly white afterimage of the monolith in their mind. That white monolith would then slowly fade from their mind's eye to be left in the dark with the music replacing all visual stimuli.
